Brett Masaki Cancer Expenses

My name is Tyler Schweickert I am fundrasing for my friend and teammate Brett Masaki. Brett is a senior lacrosse player and captain at Concordia University Irvine where he is currently getting his MBA. Over the past 6 months Brett began to expierence headaches, fatigue and complete loss of peripheral vision in both eyes. He saw numerous doctors over this 6 month period, one being a neuro ophthalmologist who ordered an MRI which showed a mass on the right side of his brain which was pushing on his visual cortex. On March, 16th Brett was rushed to the hospital where he underwent brain surgery and a biopsy was preformed. On Friday, March 24th the neurologists at HOAG Newport informed Brett that the mass was cancerous and that he has Lymphoma. The doctors are confident that this is an extremely treatable cancer.

As Brett starts chemo treatments in the coming weeks his family needs our help covering all of the medical expenses and living expenses as Bretts mom will be moving to live closer to Brett as he goes through treatment.

These coming months will put a significant emotional and financial burden on him and his family.

We hope to raise enough funds so that Brett will have enough support for the necessary monitoring and care between chemotherapy treatments. We hope to lift Brett's spirits through your generosity and support to remove additional stress for him as he fights his battle with lymphoma.
