Give to Brett Miller for Natasha's Cancer Expenses
Donation protected
Natasha Arbelo was diagnosed with terminal leiomyosarcoma just over two years ago and her brave fight is unfortunately coming to a close. This disease has no cure. It is a testament to the strength of will Natasha possessed that she battled, mostly in private, for so long. Never considering giving up, 36-year-old Natasha funneled her efforts into her community, making the world a better place right outside her door. A pillar in her neighborhood, she was President of Friends of Ferris Triangle Park, spending countless hours making the park presentable and overseeing several fun community events in the park. She brought neighbors closer together and created a safe place for children. As a mother, partner and fundamentally altruistic person, Natasha did not want to burden anyone with her illness. She is not leaving behind the legacy of a cancer patient, but of someone who did the right thing for those around her. She spent her time sowing kindness in the fields outside her door, and I don’t want the expenses of a long, hard-fought battle to burden those she leaves behind.
As a longtime friend of Brett Miller, her partner, I am asking for anyone who has benefitted from the unwavering spirit of Natasha to help donate to her hospice, cremation costs, and family debt for when the inevitable comes. It has been an expensive fight with one income and taking time off to spend at doctors appointments, chemotherapy and surgeries. She leaves behind a strong, close-nit family and 5 year old little girl, Helena. Any amount, no matter how small, will help create a foundation for her family to handle these expenses.
No one deserves to go through the loss of their best friend and no daughter, at any age, deserves to live their life without their mom. There is nothing in this world that can make this right, but I hope we can make it a little better. So please, if anyone in this family put a smile on your face, think about helping ease the financial woes that they now face.
