We're changing the face of the Bikini Barista industry, and we want YOU to help!
The Bikini Barista industry has always been rooted in cis white body standards. But no more! We ready to create a BRAND NEW, QUEER, AND BLACK OWNED Bikini Barista stand that will serve all sorts of folks throughout Seattle!
Who are we?
Sam is a nonbinary Bikini Barista who dreams of one day being able to proudly show off their top surgery scars at work.
Goddess Briq is a Black, Queer, Entrepreneur and award winning Burlesque Goddess who is always dreaming up new ways to uplift the people. Her Royal Thickness’s mission is to stimulate, educate, and liberate the masses.
After working in the Bikini Barista industry, and seeing it's exclusive nature, Sam bought an espresso trailer with the hopes of converting it into their very own coffee stand, inclusive of all body types & identities. Due to a change in family structure that necessitates Sam moving to California, the coffee trailer needs to be sold and Sam is needing some funds. As fate would have it, Briq is looking to buy! With your support, Briq will be able to pay for the trailer, buy supplies, pay for permits, and start a new Black Owned Business.
It's no coincidence that Sam is selling to Briq. This is a deliberate choice of solidarity between two Queer folks, a choice to share resources within community. By helping this campaign, you'll become part of this communal process and help bring another Black Owned Business into existence. A business that will provide employment opportunities and visibility to all our communities. Join us in casting aside cis white body standards and creating a Queer and Black Owned coffee oasis!
Your funding will help provide:
Cost of the trailer and registration of the trailer
Supplies for the stand
*commercial grade espresso machine
*refrigerator
*generator
*kitchen supplies
& more!
Tools and supplies for renovations
Rental fees for land while renovations happen
Permitting for L&I and the health department
Business licensing fees
Employee training
Thank you so much for all your support! We can't wait to get this venture started, and to provide another place for our people to thrive!
