Support Jonathan & Amirah's Road to Recovery

On Saturday May 11th my brother Jonathan and his wife Amirah were involved in a traumatic automobile accident with their young daughter Naomi. Their car has been completely totaled and they were grateful to walk away with their lives, but there is an immediate need for financial assistance with the mounting medical bills and costs associated with their recovery.

Jonathan has a shattered hip that was rebuilt with plates and screws. While he has been able to return home it is going to be a long road to recovery that will include PT that will not be covered.

Amirah who is still in the hospital has a broken femur, a shattered knee that has already been rebuilt and is still awaiting surgery for her shattered ankle. Estimates of her recuperation time range between 3 - 6 months until she is able to walk again unassisted.

3 year old Naomi has a broken collar bone and is currently recovering with family as Jonathan or Amirah are trying to regain their strength and heal.

This catastrophic accident is a life changing experience for this young family and they are going to need all the help they can get as Jonathan does not have medical insurance and Amirah is uncertain if she will be able to keep her job as an HISD school teacher. We are seeking funds to go towards the medical expenses and to meet their minimal financial needs.
