Bri Madden Olivares Education Fund
Donation protected
Update:Dec. 23, 2019; Great News! Bri Madden-Olivares will be starting classes this January!!!! Thank you for your support! Bri received an amazing donation that took her over the amount necessary for her to pay her invoice for this semester. That donation combined with book sales, donations on December 7th at the Golden Pony and this gofundme campaign will pay her tuition. Any money remaining will stay in her education fund for next semester. She is very excited and very thankful to all of you! She will be taking playwriting and directing classes among others. It's fun watching someone who is so excited about going to school!
As a result we are no longer accepting donations and will be deleting this campaign. Donors should still be able to view the campaign.
THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Update, Dec. 9, 2019; Good news! Bri's book "Jumping! Off Clouds (and Landing on Spaceships)" is here. Her book signing and reading on December 7th was a big success! We raised $668.00 that afternoon. Many thanks to Paul for letting us use his wonderful space at the Golden Pony in Harrisonburg, Virginia. If you have donated through this gofundme campaign we have set aside signed books for you and will get them to you as soon as possible. If you donate to her education fund here please let us know if you would like a book. We are selling this collector's edition for twenty dollars. All monies from the sale of the books go directly to Bri's Education Fund, as the cost of the printing of book was donated. One half of this first edition of 100 books has sold. Bri is working on a second edition which will be a smaller format.
As a result of the funds raised at the reading and book sales...our new total to raise on this campaign fund is $3,630.00! This means we have just $2600.00 more to go. Classes start in January and her tuition needs to be paid by January 10, 2020. Please help by spreading the word. If you want to purchase a book please email me at [email redacted] or bri at [email redacted].
Update, Dec. 2, 2019; The new total needed to raise for Bri's Spring Tuition for The New School in NYC is $4,638.00. She is now getting ready for her reading at the Golden Pony, this Saturday, December 7, at 4:00pm. She will be signing her book "Jumping! Off Clouds (Landing on Spaceships)". This limited edition of 100 books will be the collector's items. Our donors will be contacted about receiving a book. Please support this gifted young artist!
Bri Madden Olivares is a gifted spoken word artist. A 2018 graduate of Spotswood High School in Rockingham County, Virginia, Bri transferred to the New School of Drama and was scheduled to start classes September, 2019. However, despite several scholarships, she was unable to attend classes. She received the invoice from the school days before classes were to begin. Unfortunately she was 10,000.00 short and therefore not allowed to attend classes. Downhearted at first she recently was cast in "A Sketch of New York". She is writing a book "Jumping! Off Clouds (and Landing on Spaceships)" In March 2019 her play "Not Made For This" was performed in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The attached video has part of her final monolog. On December 7th at 4:00pm, Bri will be reading from her new book at the Golden Pony in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Once the book is available we will publish how to purchase one. Please help this amazing young woman realize her dream of attending the New School of Drama in NYC. Thank you ahead of time for your donation!
