Helping One of Our Own - BRIAN ALLISON
Donation protected
Hello! Thank you to all who have donated so far. We are so close to our goal!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On behalf of a small, local group in Fair Haven, NJ - The Friends of Brian - I am writing to request support for one of Fair Haven's First Responders, Brian Allison. In early February of this year, our group met with Brian to address his needs and the financial crisis he is in, and to develop a plan of action since Brian does not have close family or a safety net to help him.
Not unlike other ailments, Brian’s weight presents a challenging health and work obstacle. We are pleased to say Brian has scheduled what will be a life-changing gastric sleeve surgery for April and he will be on a pre-surgery protocol for health and wellness over the next few months to prepare for the procedure. This preparation, the surgery, and Brian’s rehabilitation should be his primary focus through June.
With Brian’s consent and donations from fellow first responders and many generous friends and family of the Fire Department, we had significant success in early February but now are reaching using Go Fund Me, to reach our goal for Brian. We are almost there!
Brian is a longtime volunteer and contributor to the Fire Department and First Aid Squad. A member since 2017, Brian has consistently been a high percentage responder on calls and an eager participant in all Fire Co. activities and community events.
This year he is our town's 1st Lieutenant on the Squad, a goal he set for himself and his commitment to patient care and squad leadership has made an impact on many residents during their time of need. Now he needs us.
This campaign is designed to relieve Brian of significant financial stress and to allow him to focus on his long-term physical and mental health. Proceeds will be used to pay for rent, utilities, insurance, fuel, food, clothing, and other necessities.
These are challenging times for all - please know that there are many ways to support Brian in this time of need. If you’re not in a position to donate, we know your kindness and moral support will go a long way in Brian’s journey. Please contact us and we will connect you with Brian so that you can offer a donation privately or perhaps just lend some moral support. If you have had a gastric sleeve, or similar procedure perhaps you can share hints and ideas to help him with his weight loss journey.
Thank you for your time and may you all have a healthy and rewarding year. We hope we can all work together to help one of our own!
