Brian and Rhonda Barnes

As most of my friends know, my parents, Brian & Rhonda, were involved in an ATV accident on Saturday, September 3rd. My mom had spinal surgery on Sunday, September 4th because she had two broken bones in her back. The doctors placed 2 rods and several screws to get everything back in place and corrected. Surgery went very well, but she must undergo extensive physical therapy to regain strength and the ability to walk again. Praise the Lord she is not paralyzed, but she still has a long road ahead of her. She is now a patient at The Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA to receive the best treatment possible. Daddy is doing fine, but will be going through rehabilitation for a torn shoulder. My daddy will be traveling back and forth to work at home some and be with my 16 year old brother, Kagan, but also spending as much time as possible with my mom. I would like to raise money for them to help with gas and other traveling expenses. Daddy will have to spend the last couple of weeks with her and miss work so he will know what she needs help with at home and how to accommodate every need.

They also need funds for doing several renovations at home to make it wheelchair accessible for days when my mom needs a chair. The doctors are optimistic that she will walk again, but said there will be days where she may need assistance such as a chair or walker or some sort. They’ve got to pave their part of their driveway and do things inside the house as well. Please if you feel led to help out, consider doing so! I know my parents are loved by many and we all appreciate every penny and most importantly every prayer!

Romans 8:24-28

[24] For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? [25] But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. [26] Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. [27] And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. [28] And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
