Brian & Dawn Burch

Hello Friends & Family,

Today I am reaching out to share a story that has touched our lives deeply and ask for your support in a time of need.

At Kunkel & Associates, we are a family. What impacts one person, impacts us all. Our teammate, Dawn Burch is going through a difficult time. Dawn's husband Brian has recently been diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive form of anal cancer. The location of the tumors makes them inoperable, so chemotherapy and radiation are the only course of treatment. Due to it being such a rare form of cancer, Dubuque hospitals have referred them to the Iowa City Cancer Center. Brian is required to have treatment every day causing them to commute back and forth from Dubuque to Iowa City. This causes significant discomfort for Brian. The journey ahead is not an easy one, and we believe together we can make a significant impact in their life.

Brian has not been able to work, and Dawn has taken a reduction in hours to be available for his care and for the daily commute to Iowa City. This has turned their world upside down and has been a lot for them to manage. Through it all, they remain strong in their faith and only have positive thoughts. "If it is treatable then it is beatable!!"

In the face of medical bills, treatments, and other unforeseen expenses, we have decided to launch a GoFundMe campaign to ease the financial burden on Brian and Dawn. Our goal is not only to raise funds but also to surround them with love, hope, and the knowledge that they are not alone in this fight.
