Brian & Erin Askew's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, Erin picked up the phone to call Brian on her lunch break as she does every day and heard an unfamiliar voice on the other end of the line answer the phone. The gentleman from guest services at the hospital proceeded to say that her husband had been involved in an accident and was in the hospital. Brian had been rear-ended at the 75/24 split and suffered multiple spinal fractures in the back and neck area, head injuries, had to be extracted from the vehicle, and was left without the use of his arms or legs. After multiple surgeries and complications, Brian continues to fight and has a long way to go in his recovery process. Erin hasn't left his side and is a Godsend for Brian as a spouse and caretaker! Life, as they have known for the short time that they have been married, has come to a screeching halt (working, parenting, etc.), and the outside world continues to operate as normal. Along with that comes expenses that will continue to present themselves month after month with no care for their current situation. Many people have reached out to me asking what they can do to help and financially is the only way at this point and time. It will be needed to allow Erin to continue to give Brian the care that he so desperately needs in this critical time. Make no mistake as Erin fought back against this fund even being created, and I respect that she, nor Brian would want a "handout". I ask that you prayerfully consider contributing and letting Brian and Erin know just how much you love and support them!
2 Corinthians 2:9 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully."
