Brian Flaherty - Husband, Father, & 3 Village dad
Donation protected
Hello all,
I'm creating this fund for my sister, Lenora Flaherty and goddaughter Francesca Flaherty, who is suffering from the devasting loss of their husband/father, Brian Flaherty, who was a beloved Three Village Dad.
5am Sunday, Brian passed away in his sleep. Lenora attempted to revive him with the help of 911's instructions but was unfortunately unsuccessful and sadly Brian has passed.
At this time, our main concern is that Lenora and Francesca can grieve the loss of their husband and father without worry. They were renovating their home as a fixer-upper property and there’s currently no siding- it’s just wrapped in Tyvek, the front windows are nailed shut because they’re inoperable and a bathroom is completely gutted. These tasks are just simply impossible to complete without him now. We greatly appreciate any source of support that may be offered to assist in finishing these renovations before the cold winter comes, and with maintaining household expenses and funeral arrangements.
Please partake in reading below, the most beautiful eulogy from his beloved wife, Lenora Flaherty, that offers a glimmer to who Brian was.
"It’s with great sadness I deliver this news of Brian’s passing but want everyone to know how much every single person he knew has touched his huge heart. Brian didn’t have acquaintances or friends, he only had family. Everyone was family to him and that’s how he lived and loved. Brian has sadly passed of a heart attack in his sleep early this morning.
I’d like to share a very dear, short story with all my friends and family.
Brian picked me up from my parents house for our first date in July of 2007, in his 1999 silver, GMC Yukon Denali that he was so proud of. We went to dinner and I remember his shocked face when I ordered water and not a drink, because well, we all know Brian… from there we proceeded to eat and have a great time.
It started pouring out when he was driving me back home and much to my confusion, he abruptly pulled the truck over in the downpour, in the middle of a 4-lane road, on 106/107, and jumped out. I saw him run across the street and help a man push his broken-down car over to the side of the road. He got back in the truck, completely soaked, and I commended him for his charity but remember feeling in that moment, that maybe he took that opportunity to impress me. But I soon came to realize, that’s just who he is. If he could help someone, he didn’t even think twice about it.
He had nothing but gave everything and that’s what I have always loved and adored about him.
The world lost a lot of sunshine today but his memory will live on through our beautiful daughter and all your great stories and pictures of him.
Please keep sharing. It’s one of the few things getting me through this difficult time.
Francesca and I love you Brian Flaherty. Rest easy, my love. ❤️”
