Brian Hien's Cancer Fighting Fund

After experiencing seizures earlier this year, our friend, Brian Hien, underwent surgery to have tumors removed from his brain. Unfortunately, after further testing, he was diagnosed with brain cancer – glioblastoma, to be exact.
At this time, Brian is receiving therapeutic care at the Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center. They are preparing him and his wife, Vicky, for the life changes and challenges that are to come. Their home needs reconfiguration, such as an accessible bathroom and living space, to accommodate Brian’s current limitations – walking, maintaining balance, and vision inconsistencies. Vicky has already begun the process to create a safe home yet, at the same time, making sure that Brian continues to feel the healing comfort of being at home.
Through all of this, Brian continues to be positive. His smile and cheerful personality, for which he is so known – “… yep, that’s Brian.”, anyone who knows him would say – remain intact. When working with him, his therapists help him redirect that enthusiasm by encouraging him to focus on completing his exercises correctly and safely. Our Brian is there shining through!
As you can imagine, this diagnosis has been quite overwhelming for Brian, Vicky, their family, and friends. Vicky has already begun to experience the financial impact of Brian’s diagnosis and the treatments required. Medical bills alone are incredibly burdensome, as is the uncertainty of what lies ahead.
Please consider helping the person who always greets everyone by their name and with a big smile whenever he enters a room. Brian has always been a kind and generous person, and at this time, we hope you can assist him and Vicky in raising funds for medical needs and expenses. No gift is too small, and all efforts are greatly appreciated.
On behalf of the Hiens, thank you!
