Brian Jansen's fight with Cancer
Donation protected
For the past 2 decades Brian has dedicated his life to fedex express. His hard work and dedication are very obvious to those of us who have had the opportunity to work with him.
Brian is married to Sherri and has 2 beautiful daughters Kaitlin and Nicki. It's obvious to us all how much he adores his family and how much each one of them have impacted his life over the years by the smile he wears everyday.
Brian recently had his gallbladder removed and during the operation they found that the gallbladder was tough on the top, and fused to his liver. After detaching the gallbladder, they found lesions on the liver. They sent the gallbladder and lesions for biopsy. The Doctor wanted a closer look and wanted the ultrasound reread. Given the massive amount of weight loss in the 3 weeks prior, they were looking for cancer.
Brian finally got the results of his PET scan. It wasn’t good news unfortunately.
The type of cancer that he was diagnosed with is NOT curable, however it is treatable.
They also told him that the cancer has spread to his bones and he would need to undergo a MRI very soon to see where and how far the cancer has spread.
Brian now has to adjust to a new way of life as he is starting Chemotherapy asap.
We as a fedex family are looking to raise money to assist with medical bills (ideally meet his deductible) as we can all assume that this will be an ongoing fight and will only get more costly as time goes on.
Brian commented that "He has complete faith in God, so my soul is at rest while my body will continue the fight! Keep those prayers and thoughts coming, I feel each and everyone of them! In Jesus name we "
We at FedEx PNVA will be grateful for anything that you can give and please know that no amount is too small and it's the thought that counts not the amount.
