Brian Jansen’s “One thing after another” fund

Hello,my name is Brian Jansen,a tattooer of 31 years in Madison,Wisconsin and owner of Capitol City Tattoo where we just celebrated 22years of tattooing back in July! Back on Oct 22nd I was involved in a motorcycle accident on my way to work which resulted in a broken right shoulder and multiple abrasions but very grateful it wasn’t worse! Having to not work and start to heal was difficult but necessary so I focused on getting better and getting back to tattooing asap. Then, on November 25’th I was struck with a fever of 104.7, hallucinations and skyrocketing blood pressure. An ambulance was called which brought me to the hospital where I landed in ICU for three days (see photo) with pneumonia and a blood infection while the doctors stabilized me before moving me to another floor afor close to a week. I’ve never been so fearful and uncertain in my entire life and I’m so grateful for the nurses and other staff who helped me out greatly. I was released on Dec. 1st and now face the intense rehabilitation of my still healing shoulder and an apparent astigmatism brought on by my high fever and continuing to slowly recover from my infection. I am working hard to get healthy asap and get back to work and am hoping to raise money to pay for everything from my monthly bills not only for the shop and personal to some of the medical expenses and my lost wages. As a tattooer, if I’m not working I’m not getting paid and some money that I had saved for an emergency has already been exhausted. I’ve dedicated my life to tattooing and our shop and crew and being able to contribute to its continued success and to keep working with our amazing clients is very, very important so if you feel inclined to contribute to help with these expenses and keep things moving in a positive direction,I would be eternally grateful!
