ICE HOCKEY STAR CONTINUES HIS FIGHT OFF THE ICE
Brian Page, 17 absorbed an on-ice hit on Nov. 15, 2020 leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. Brian has had a tremendous career playing offense for Delaware Ducks, Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, Philadelphia Little Flyers and most recently signed a tender agreement to play in the North American Hockey League. Brian is in his senior year of High School and has been a player of interest to top college hockey programs.
Brian is the currently residing at Magee Rehabilitation in Philadelphia working hard in therapy and showing signs of improvement daily. The outpouring and support for Brian and his family has been remarkable. You don't need to know Brian, to understand the emotional and financial support needed. Corey Owens, a team mate of Brian, started this gofundme account for anyone wishing to offer assistance.
Brian Page Sr. is a Delaware State Trooper and when not caring for his son, is taking care of his community. Joan Page was the first family member to speak to Brian after his injury while he was one the ice. She recalls her son telling her that "he can not feel his legs." From that moment forward the family agreed that Brian will overcome this with our prayers and his positive attitude.
Brian is hoping to return to his home in Delaware in the near future and the cost of life time care is unimaginable. The immediate financial needs are to purchase a handicap accessible van, complete a major home renovation to accommodate Brian's special needs and ongoing medical expenses'.
Your love and generosity will ease some of the burden that rests on the road ahead. No contribution is too small and the Page family extends sincere thanks and appreciate for all who - already has, will and may wish to contribute to Brian's journey.
