Brian Reznicek

On Friday, November 20th, Brian suffered a stroke due to Covid complications and was transferred to Rush Hospital.  He spent 5 days in the Neuro ICU fighting for his life. Over the next few days, he suffered a few seizures and had multiple clots still in his brain.  It was then a delicate balance between dissolving those clots with medication, while avoiding a brain bleed.  Brian's vision was greatly impacted as well as his left arm and leg.  It was unknown at the time if he would ever be able to see or walk again.

As the week progressed, Brian made amazing progress!  The swelling came down and his mobility and vision slowly came back.  Brian will need to undergo numerous hours of therapy to continue his healing process.  Brian's recovery has been nothing short of a miracle. He will have quite the challenge ahead of him, but he's been proving his whole life how strong he truly is.

After being diagnosed with Autism at age 3,  Brian has already overcome many developmental obstacles.  Every year that has passed since then, Brian has amazed us with his accomplishments. Not only is he the sweetest most gentle soul, but his personality is contagious. He is kind to everyone and is unapologetically himself in every way.  Brian has always been a light in this dark world.  He attracts people and leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets.

The road ahead is long and unknown. What is known, is the financial burden that will be incurred due to multiple ambulance rides, time in the ICU, and continued therapy.  Any donation is greatly appreciated and will ease the financial burden on the Reznicek family. Their family has always been very generous and giving, and now they are experiencing their hour of need.  Our family has been  blessed with a miracle and we are overwhelmed with gratitude. GOD IS GOOD!   Again, THANK YOU for your love,  concern,  support, and prayers.  It has meant the world to us.
