The Moores Need Our Help!
We want to invite you to take part in an opportunity to help our friends, Brian and Rebecca Moore and their children, as Rebecca faces some serious on-going health issues. We are raising money for the Moore family to help cover their basic expenses including food, childcare, travel costs to the hospital, medical costs and so on. These funds are needed urgently, so please consider making a donation today.
For those of you who are not familiar with Rebecca’s story, she was struggling to recover from a dental procedure and was admitted to the hospital because her tooth infection had spread and become serious. After receiving a breathing treatment in the hospital, she had a cardiac event and was told part of her heart was not getting blood flow and a cardiac catheter would be needed.
They went to Beth Israel for the cardiac catheter on February 9, and the surgeon was fully expecting to put a stint in. Praise God when they went in, they did not find any major blockages! However, the team at Beth Israel does not have a good explanation for this, and since the procedure Rebecca has had to return to the ER three times due to recurring chest pains. She is seeking a second opinion and is hopeful they can determine the cause, and that the resulting chest pains, blurred vision and weakness will go away and her blood pressure will stabilize.
As if all of this is not stressful enough, Rebecca was recently diagnosed with thyroid tumors. The doctors have discovered five very large tumors totaling the size of 4 golf balls in her thyroid and she will need to have surgery requiring extended recovery time. These tumors are pressing on her carotid artery and wind pipe, so removing the large thyroid has been strongly encouraged once the immediate heart issues are brought under control and she is stable enough for surgery. Rebecca has an immune deficiency (CVID) and gets IGG plasma each week to try and fight off infections. Her compromised immune system is a concern with the thyroid surgery and recovery time.
Rebecca’s thyroid tumor diagnosis and health issues have come in the midst of caring for and homeschooling two young children. Brian is doing his best to take care of Rebecca while tending to their kids, meeting with doctors, and adjusting to a new job. While money won’t solve all their challenges, it will certainly help to relieve some of the financial stress they are feeling. We are fortunate to have an incredible network of people in our community who come together in times like these to help out those in need. Together we can help this beautiful family through this scary time. Will you join us in coming alongside the Moores during this difficult time and support them in prayer and consider making a contribution to help them cover expenses? Every donation will help.
On behalf of the Moores, we offer a heartfelt thank you for your support.
