Brianna was in a horrific car accident on January 30, 2021. Bri is a senior at Nazareth area high school. She is aspiring to be a social worker, she loves children and is really great with them. She is a hostess at the Texas Roadhouse and absolutely loves her job. She loves people and has always been the one that helps people when she can. She has a spirit that is absolutely inspiring, as her friends say, she sets the vibe for the room. Her smile is infectious as is her laugh. She is an amazing young woman, and her life is on pause right now. She has been in the hospital since, 54 days now but who is counting. She has been in a medically induced coma up until a few days ago. She has 3rd degree burns on 56% of her body and has undergone 10 procedures so far. She is still heavily sedated and will be in the hospital for the foreseeable future. Once she is done with all surgeries she will need to heal and then go to the inpatient rehab at the hospital. She will need to learn to do everything we take for granted. Speak, swallow, walk, etc. She is incredibly frustrated right now, because she just loves to go go go and now she's stuck in a hospital bed, can't communicate except for head nods and shakes. We don't expect her home until mid to late summer. She is missing her senior year of highschool and some of the best years of her life. She should be hanging out with friend, planning her future, but she is on pause and it was no fault of her own, she was the passenger and she had no control. She doesn't deserve this. She has a lifetime of adapting to do, plastic surgeries just to make the skin more pliable so she can use her hands, plastic surgeries to lessen the scarring so she can lead a life that may be normal in this judgemental world we live in. Years of mental health therapy to help her accept and cope with how she has changed. This has affected our entire family and are asking for any support people can give. Thoughts, prayers, good vibes, donations, just sharing this GoFundMe. Unfortunately, insurance will only cover so much and she will have a lifetime of challenges ahead of her. If you can help, please do, this is coming from a heartbroken mother. Brianna is my warrior phoenix and I know she will rise up from this stronger than ever, she just needs the help of a whole village! Thank you
