Brianna West’s Breast Cancer Journey To Recovery

Hi, my name is Tenesa R. Barnes and I am fundraising on behalf of my beautiful daughter Brianna West.

Brianna randomly gave herself a breast check one day and discovered a lump in her left breast. This immediately prompted her to schedule a visit with her primary doctor to examine the lump. Three weeks later on February 22, 2024 she went to the doctor and received news that the concerning lump was measuring at 10cm and that she did in fact have an aggressive stage 3 breast cancer. As you can imagine this news was unexpected and devastating to hear.

2 weeks later a double mastectomy had to be done in order to remove the cancer. Reconstructive surgery has been started which will include a 6-8 week evasive treatment. She will have to undergo 2 more procedures in addition to chemotherapy/radiation over the course of the year before the process is completed. All of which has caused her to endure a great deal of physical pain but she is a fighter taking it day by day.

Brianna is a full time Mother and business owner of Kielle Marie’s Cosmetics . She is an esthetician/lash tech who will not be able to work for a while considering she has to keep her arms confined until she is healed.
