Bria's medical emergency that changed her life.

Dear Friends,

We are helping to raise funds for our friends Bria and Matthew Clark. Shortly after getting married in May, Bria began experiencing life-threatening seizures. After five ambulance rides to the ER and an extended stay in the ICU, Bria was formally diagnosed with a brain lesion, abnormal brain signals due to encephalopathy, and a cystic lesion on her spinal cord. Further diagnosis and treatment are needed, but specialists are backed up until January.

To date, medical bills have grown well into the six figures, and her medications cost nearly $2,000 per month, even with insurance. Because of her condition, she cannot drive until at least March and cannot work because of this. Before her illness, she was an architectural photographer and furniture designer. Now, she cannot use a stove, climb stairs, or leave the house without a companion. This has dramatically impacted Matthew’s ability to work since he is her primary caregiver. Collectively, they have lost nearly $30,000 in income to date. This is after Covid already gouged the creative fields of significant income.

We hope to raise funds to help them catch up financially and help sustain them as they revive and rebuild. We realize that many people are struggling these days. If you can donate, it would be a blessing. If not, sharing this fundraiser would be equally as helpful.
