Helping Brice Gaillard with Medical Leave Expenses

This fundraiser is to help our friend, Brice Gaillard, with expenses while she is out of work due to a medical emergency. On August 5th, Brice was admitted to the hospital in NYC with a ruptured appendix. Unfortunately, after several days in the hospital and then a round of strong antibiotics at home, the infection did not improve. She was rushed to the hospital again on August 26th due to complications from the disease in her abdomen. After an unsuccessful surgery to remove the appendix and clear the infection, she will now be discharged from the hospital with at home IV antibiotics. Brice currently has a severe infection and cannot have surgery until her body heals. Until her condition is under control, the next steps in her recovery are unclear. We are asking her friends to donate to help with her expenses and medical bills. She will be unable to work for the next couple of months. Brice has medical insurance in NY state only, not in Florida where she is currently residing. These funds will support her need to stay in New York while she waits to be cleared for the appendectomy and for other expenses she needs covered while out of work.
