Brice William Guy Annan-Lawrence

Hi everyone. I'm raising money on behalf of my friends Jo Lawrence & James Annan, in memory of their beautiful son, Brice who sadly passed away on Sunday 9th March aged just 9 months.

Jo & James have been through an unbelievable amount over the last 3 years since the birth of their lovely daughter Hope. As most people will know, Hope has Down Syndrome & like half of all children with this condition, required open heart surgery before the age of 1. They had a tricky post operative recovery but Hope (being the little warrior that she is) pulled through. She developed a hernia around the surgical site which meant another operation was on the cards. During the pre-operative blood work, some abnormalities were found & Hope was later diagnosed with Leukaemia which led to chemotherapy. Thankfully, despite all the struggles, Hope again pulled through!!

Before Hope's treatment completed, Jo & James had the fantastic news that they were pregnant. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before it was noticed that Brice was having some difficulties. After several trips into hospital with countless seizures, Brice was diagnosed with Leigh Syndrome, a rare mitochondrial disease which is rapidly progressive.

Tragically, less than 4 weeks after receiving the diagnosis of Leigh Syndrome, Brice passed away leaving a hole in Jo, James & Hope's lives which will never be filled.

This family have been through so much over the last few years & I wanted to create this page to try to provide a little support to them. Jo & James are some of (if not THE) strongest people I know. I know times are hard, but please do dig deep to try to provide a tiny bit of comfort at an unbearably difficult time.
