Help Bridget and Connor in this time of need!

Hello, for those who don’t know me my name is Courtney, and I am the younger sister to Bridget and future sister in law of Connor.

Bridget and Connor recently left for a vacation to travel across Ireland, where shortly after arriving Connor proposed! A time of joy and celebration later turned when they, along with Connors mother, step father and step brother, were involved in a car accident. Bridget was air lifted to Galway, requiring emergent surgery. She remains in the ICU, but is on the up, but has a long road ahead of her. Connor and his mother thankfully sustained minor injuries, and are by Bridget and their loved ones.

We are reaching out to the community for any assistance in order to help this group of amazing people. We don’t know how long they are going to need to be in Ireland for. These funds will help with any lodging, travel expenses, medical expenses, and to cover bills back home while being out of work. We also ask for your prayers at this time, and we will send out updates as time goes on.

UPDATE:

On behalf of our family we would like to thank you for your outpouring support for Bridget and Connor. At present, Bridget had multiple abdominal injuries, which required surgery. In addition, she suffered a stroke, which affected her vision. She is out of the ICU, but still not fully in the clear. We are hoping for a full recovery, and thank you all for your prayers for the long road that lies ahead. We are also blown away at the support received through the go fund me and cannot even put into words our level of gratitude.

We will continue to keep you updated in the days / weeks ahead. But we’re praying for a speedy recovery for everyone ❤️

Update On Bridget

We are overwhelmed with gratitude that Bridget was able to to be discharged from MGH to home! She currently has a drain in her abdomen to aid in the healing process. Future plans for surgery will be discussed at upcoming appointments.

In the meantime, Bridgets focus will be aggressive rehab to regain her strength and mobility, as well as Occupational Therapy, to assist her to navigate with a vision deficit.

Each day more progress is made and we are hopeful

she will continue to have a complete recovery.

The hospitality of family, friends, and prayers provided us with comfort and hope; for that, we can never truly convey our level of gratitude and thanks.
