Bridget Ebbert Memorial Fund

Donation protected
The Ebbert family is collecting contributions for a memorial fund in the name of our daughter and sister, Bridget Ebbert. The fund will be used to support the performing arts at Hampton High School and to provide an annual scholarship award to a graduating senior.

On October 30, 2021, Bridget tragically passed away in a car accident at the age of 23. Bridget was passionate about the performing arts and dreamed of a career in film.

Bridget’s passion for the performing arts was fostered at Hampton High School through her involvement in the Drama Club and Musical Theatre. She acted in six plays and musicals, including Arsenic & Old Lace, Fahrenheit 451, The Addams Family, Legally Blonde, Young Frankenstein, and Monty Python’s Spamalot. In her senior year, Bridget also had the pleasure of co-directing the school’s production of The Great Gatsby.

After high school, Bridget majored in film at Hofstra University and was heavily involved in performing arts organizations and productions throughout college, such as Hofstra Concerts and Thursday Nite Live. In honor of her passion, we are setting up a non-profit organization in her name to establish a yearly scholarship that will be awarded to a graduating Hampton High School student who was involved in the performing arts throughout their high school career and plans to continue pursuing it into the future. Bridget believed in the power of the performing arts as a way to bring people together and to communicate ideas in a creative, emotional way. Through this scholarship, we hope to carry Bridget's memory forward by encouraging young students to follow their hearts in pursuing their passions as a career.

Please consider contributing to the Bridget Ebbert Memorial Fund. Our organization is in the process of establishing an official non-profit 501(c)3 status, but for the sake of introducing the scholarship for the 2022 graduating year, we are beginning to collect funds through GoFundMe. The scholarship intends to award a student who shows outstanding involvement in the performing arts through acting, stage crew, leadership positions, or otherwise and intends to continue pursuing it into college. We hope to be able to continue to support students through this scholarship for years to come.
