We are the friends, neighbors, and co-workers of Bridget McGuiness.

Our friend is arriving home tonight, to be with her family in Hospice.

Bridget’s Slap Shot Goal: It’s ironic that this beautiful woman and her family are facing this terrible situation:

Bridget, her wife Margot, and their daughter Mack, have been our family making memories with so many of us for many years. I use that word family loosely, because through the years the love, the support, is just so family orientated. Bridget was diagnosed with that awful word we all despise, Cancer. Anyone that knows Bridget will tell you from the start, she skated with only determination to not let the cancer get the best of her. She was a Hockey Coach, she was a ref for Roller Derby – She practiced what she preached “you give it your all,” and “you don’t give up”, we are all champions in the end. Bridget is more than a champion, she played hard, she skated hard, she honestly believed anything is possible, if you believe. After numerous hospital stays, surgeries, constant trials, and many opinions, her game sadly, is coming to an end. Bridget’s wife Margot is bringing her home today with assistance in Hospice. With everything the family has gone through, they will soon be struggling with a financial burden, something we would never imagine happening to ourselves. A family that has given so much to others now needs a magical financial slapshot. Please consider helping Bridget and her family, the money raised will help to pay for expenses and monthly bills.
