Bridging the Gap for Kedzie Inn

Donation protected
Dearest friends & delightful customers,

Since the Stay at Home Order from the Governor has been put in place, we've looked at a number of ways to try to create revenue that would make sense for our business model, which has been mostly supported by special events, alcohol, food, and lots of fun. Because we are the tiniest of staffs, we could not find a way that made sense in terms of risk, time, and money.

We support the Shelter at Home Order. We love the neighborhood and our neighbors. It is more important that our community is protected and safe over throwing a party, but dang! We do miss hosting your events.

We thought we could survive 30 days closed, but the order continues to be extended and while restrictions will start being lifted, it'll be awhile before we can open our doors. Once we do, we will be limited even then. This business is operated by two friends who wanted to bring something great to the Irving/Albany Park area - a small place where our diverse and bright neighbors felt welcome and happy. We are not backed by any investors or corporations, so we find ourselves in a tough spot and are finally coming to you with hat in hand.

We are asking for donations towards keeping us afloat. Though we have no revenue, we need to deal with operating costs still owed, taxes, and more. Please know that we appreciate any donation amount, but have a few small actions we can do to thank you for being awesome.

All donors will be invited to our donor thank you party when we can gather again.

For donors of at least $30, we will happily thank you publicly on our website and Facebook page.

For donors of at least $75, you'll get the thank you, but also you'll receive a personal video text of Elizabeth trying to do an 80s dance move of your choosing.

For donors of at $100 and above, you'll get a personal delivery of handmade sausage made by Jon and a Chicago food writer that many of you know.

Whatever you can donate would be a huge help and we are ever so grateful.

Thank you,

The Kedzie Inn Team
