I am Ali Aljamal, an exchange student with a heart-wrenching journey from Gaza to the United States. The echoes of war on Gaza forced my family to abandon everything we ever owned and called a home, seeking refuge in Egypt leaving behind many unfinished stories and lost dreams. Despite the mere memories of rubble left behind – a damaged house, my mother's workplace, father's coffee shop, and my school – my parents clung to the dream of securing our future.

Before this ongoing nightmare began, my parents worked relentlessly clung to the belief that education could be the light to guide our family's path forward. Wanting to support my family especially with my siblings' educational journey amidst the chaos of displacement. My eldest brother in Spain dreams of a soccer career, my younger brother with ADHD and PTSD awaits an educational opportunity, and I strive to ensure the unknown future ahead of us. My family's journey became a quest for stability, education, and a place to call home.

Launching this GoFundMe campaign serves as a heartfelt appeal for your support in rekindling the flame of our future and academic aspirations, all while securing a place we can call home.

In the aftermath of the ongoing conflict, your generous contributions won't just shape my brothers' and my academic journeys but will also stand give hope for others suffering with similar challenges.

I'm doing this fundraiser because my parents left everything behind and they have nothing left but us, and I want them to feel that their hard work to invest in us didn't go for nothing.

Your support will be directed towards the following:

1. Temporary Housing: Extend a helping hand to provide immediate, stable housing upon our departure from Gaza.

2. Yousef: $10,000 to cover this school year to graduate and his residency in Spain, $12,000 to cover his first year in University, and $12,000 to cover his housing and daily life needs.

3. Omar: $2,000 for school, and $1,000 for special education (personal teacher).

Fees and Transfers: Defray GoFundMe fees (2.9% plus $0.30 for each donation) and the bank transfer fee of 5%.
