Briella "Ellie" Fletcher

Hi, my name is Jennifer (Baughman) Heady. I am setting up this fundraiser for my niece Briella or Ellie as her family/friends call her. She is 13 years old. She is on the volleyball team, cheer team and track team for her school. She is a very caring young lady!

This past week has been a hard one for Ellie and the family.

Here is a little back history from her dad Jacob...

A little background: Ellie had some blood tests run on Wednesday and that alerted the doctor that something was wrong with her, internally. We were called late Wednesday night by the doctor that she needed to get to the emergency room. While at the ER more testing was done which confirmed her kidneys were failing. She was transported by EMS to Children's Hospital so she could see a kidney specialist.

We have not received very many answers as of yet, but things are being narrowed down. What we do know is that her kidneys are damaged beyond repair and will need dialysis. Ultimately she will need a kidney transplant due to the damage already done in her kidneys. We have been told it is too soon to know a time frame.

I am starting this fundraiser as a way for my sister Kelly and her husband Jake to help ease some of the medical bills that will be coming in soon.

They are also about 2 hours from home at Children's hospital with Ellie. Which means traveling and eating out for most of their meals (mainly in the hospital cafeteria). This will be possibly an on-going travel situation based on what her medical teams deems necessary.

I love my niece with all my heart and want nothing but the best for her. She has been very brave about the whole situation that has been dealt to her. She has a very long road ahead.
