Brigette Barrow's Funeral Expenses

Please consider supporting a family who have suffered the tragic and sudden loss of their young, college-aged daughter.
“I initially became involved in addressing the food insecurity issue at my college due to my own experiences with the issue…. A major component of my philosophy about civic duty is to ask the people in need what their needs are. This led me to start talking with students who came into the pantry…. When students who face food insecurity receive proper meals, a humongous burden is lifted.”
~Brigette Barrow
Brigette Barrow was an inspiration to all who knew her. Determined to make a difference, Brigette’s deep sense of empathy and heart-centered approach to injustice informed her commitment to her family and community. Brigette began her collegiate journey at Montgomery County Community College, where she was awarded the Newman Civic Fellowship due, in part, to her incredible work in fighting food insecurity. The Fellowship “recognizes and supports community-committed students who are changemakers and public problem-solvers at Campus Compact member institutions.”
In the fall, Brigette continued her studies at Penn State Abington pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She served as a Service Fellow for the Student Engagement and Leadership office and was prepping for an event in partnership with Penn State Brandywine on Martin Luther King Day of Service.
Brigette recently passed away and her family, friends, and community are devastated.
We want to honor Brigette’s tenacity and leadership, her love for her family, and her willingness to go above and beyond to succeed and help others flourish. Brigette’s legacy of courage, strength, and kindness will live on in those whose lives she touched. Please consider donating to help cover the funeral expenses and lift this burden from her grieving family.
