Bright Theatre Revitalization

Donation protected
When the Castle High School Theatre opened in 1980, it was the "Pride of the Windward Side" - a testament to the performing arts program that Ron Bright had built from the ground up with his love, energy and enthusiasm.   In 1994, the theatre was dedicated in his honor and became the Ronald E Bright Performing Arts Center.  Mr B retired from teaching after 41 years of service to the Kaneohe community.

Now, 35 years after its opening, time and use have taken its toll on our beautiful theatre home.  A group of Castle Theatre Guild and Castle Performing Arts Center alumni have taken on the task of delivering some much needed TLC to the building that bears the name of our beloved teacher and mentor.

While the DOE does have some money earmarked for future theatre improvement, there is much that can be done right now.   We envision this as just the first of many projects and the beginning of an ongoing plan to maintain the theatre in a state that Mr. B would be proud of.

Please help us to reach our $25,000 goal.  Funding will go towards landscaping, paint and cleaning supplies, construction materials and rental of equipment.  All labor for the projects will be provided by alumni and volunteers that wish to fulfill their responsibility to continuing Mr. B’s legacy in our community.

Mahalo for your consideration.
