Brilliant Student Seeks Assistance With Tuition
Donation protected
Hi, I am Esther Thomas, an honours graduate from Immaculate Conception High School. I am seeking your kind assistance in achieving my dream of becoming a Paediatric Surgeon.
I am of Jamaican parentage and have shown exceptional academic potential and discipline. I was successful in the recent staging of the recent of the CXC/CAPE exams, and I now have sixteen subjects including fourteen grade ones and two credits (which are currently under investigation due to the present CXC examination discrepancies).
Despite my display of academic excellence, I was denied acceptance to the medical programme at the University of the West Indies. I was instead offered a secondary option to study Science and Technology, which I have now decided to forego.
I am currently pursuing other options that will allow me to follow my dream of studying medicine, however, without any current scholarships, I will need financial assistance to be better able to cover a full university tuition. That is why I am appealing to you for assistance. Any contribution you may make to this cause will be greatly appreciated.
I look forward to being able to someday give back to others, as I do enjoy serving others. In school, I served as a prefect, peer educator, a member of the schools ICHS Symphony Orchestra as a violinist and a member of the Principal’s Honor Roll among a number of other club activities. I actively volunteer as a Director of Predestined, an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) that advocates for Women’s Empowerment and Wellness. I have been trained by the National Council on Drug Abuse as a Peer Educator and I also serve as the Childrens Choir Director at my home church located in the inner city community of Riverton Meadows, In Kingston, Jamaica.
Thank you in advance for investing in my future. I look forward to someday doing the same for other brilliant young people, with demonstrated potential.
