Support KIPP Model UN Team's Conference in NYC

Every kid deserves a chance to use their voice to create change. The mission of KIPP Chicago, an open-enrollment public charter school network, is to empower students with the character and academic skills necessary to persist through college, pursue passions with confidence, and lead for a more just Chicago. With that in mind, dedicated KIPP teachers and their students founded 3 Model United Nations teams on Chicago’s West and South Sides. Our 34 students have been working tirelessly since September, learning diplomatic procedures, engaging in debates on current events, and developing public speaking skills.
We hope that in April of 2023 our KIPP Chicago Model UN teams will be able to attend the Global Classroom International Model United Nations Middle School Conference in New York City. While there, our passionate students will have the opportunity to hone their public speaking and debate skills as well as visit the United Nations Headquarters. In addition, our teams will be able to meet over 1,500 students from around the world who share their desire to resolve real-world problems.
In the video, our team members (past and present) explain why they chose to join Model United Nations and how this team has impacted them. By donating to our GoFundMe, you are providing some of our most driven future leaders with a transformational and unforgettable opportunity. Thank you for your support of KIPP Chicago Model UN!
Best,
