Bring a teacher to Shape America Nationals

Hi my name is Heather and I'm raising funds in order to go to Nationals to present my successes in physical and health education. My curriculum revolves around the concept that every kid counts and has a purpose. They are worth it! I use sport as a platform for every student no matter what their ability is, to succeed at their highest level. Every student learns that they can serve their school, communities, and homes. My work has revolved around education and service to our communities as a teacher, firefighter, and first responder. I was honored with the opportunity to present my work at Nationals for physical and health education teachers and coaches. As a physically disabled person, I was not supposed to be a physical educator. I was always told I wasn't supposed to be in sport, but with the help of legendary supporters, I am publishing a curriculum, and have recently been named Teacher of the Year for my state for two years and honored with the Paul Schmidt Award for excellence in my profession. As a physically handicapped person, I am trying to show my sons that you can do anything you want if you put your heart and mind to it! I am trying to raise funds to help send me to Shape America National Convention. It is by far the best gift and life lesson I can give them! Can you help send me to Shape America Nationals this year?
