Bring Aiko Home: Support a Heartfelt Reunion

For those of you who don’t know, this is Aiko, my fiance’s husky that she had for several years and due to an unfortunate situation and circumstances, she had to rehome him several years ago. Up until this point, she has believed he was dead and has searched for him tirelessly for 5 years after the girl she rehomed him to stopped contacting her. Not that long ago, she found him in a post shared on Facebook from a volunteer page associated with a shelter not too far from where we lived but he was pulled from that shelter by a rescue in Ohio. She was able to contact the director of the rescue who confirmed the dog she saw and they had in foster care was him and, finally, after jumping through so many hoops and overcoming so many obstacles, we finally have the chance to bring him home and she finally has the chance to be reunited with him. According to the rescue, he had heartworms and severe ear infections, which he was treated for. Although we were not given an invoice for said treatment, the rescue asked that we pay toward it. A screenshot is included for what his heartworms were treated with, and a screenshot of the general cost for such treatment. A screenshot of the e-mail stating we can come and meet/get Aiko, “Alex” as the rescue calls him, from Seville, Ohio is included as well as one of the distance to where he is located, which is roughly 17 hours, almost 34 hours total round trip. All of that is totaled into the guesstimate for the gofund me to be able to finally bring Aiko home. By no means do any of you have to donate, your kind words and support are more than enough, but, if you chose to, just know that I greatly appreciate it, we greatly appreciate it, and I absolutely know Shaina greatly appreciates it because she never thought this would be possible.
