Bring Al back to the UK
Donation protected
!!! AL IS BACK !!! BUT FUNDS STILL NEEDED !!!
Al has been transported from Spain back to England and is really really happy to be here! His speech and motor skills have been improving dramatically since arriving in Worcester on Tuesday morning, 15th February 2022. There is no doubt now that Al being back in England and able to communicate in his mother tongue will help him recover better and faster. He has been assessed and is now in a stroke rehabilitation ward and will hopefully be able to leave hospital very soon, which we are sure he will be over the moon about since he has been in hospital since October 31st 2021.
Unfortunately, we didn't raise enough to cover the full cost of the transport so loans had to be taken out to make it happen more quickly. This was so necessary considering Al hadn't seen anyone in over 2 months and wasn't covered by his GHIC card to get rehabilitation treatment. We do still need to cover the funds which have been borrowed to make the transport happen.
We know this is a big ask but if everyone who has donated already was in the position to be able to donate another £15 each we would be able to pay back the loans that have been taken out. If not then can you please, please share this campaign.
We are incredibly grateful to all of you for your generosity, this would not have been possible without your help.
We are so grateful to the amazing ambulance team who brought him back safely and played him lots of tunes en route! A massive thank you to Craig and his team.
We are also very grateful to Al's doctor in Spain and her wonderful nurses who took such good care of him there.
We will keep you all updated on his progress and recovery.
Peace, love and good health to you all. Thank you
!!! PLEASE DONATE AGAIN IF YOU CAN! IF YOU ALREADY HAVE OR CAN'T THEN PLEASE JUST SHARE !!!
**UPDATE** Thursday 10th February 2022
We want to keep you all updated as to the current situation. The transport for Al has been booked for Monday evening 14th February 2022.
Lal has taken out £3000 in loans to get him brought over sooner. His health has been up and down but he is certainly doing better, although he had to go back on oxygen due to another respiratory infection presenting over the weekend.
There are still some extra costs to pay for the transport such as the oxygen and ferry passage which we don't have the funds for yet.
We still need about £3500 to enable Lal to pay back the loans and to pay for the transport extra costs so
!!PLEASE KEEP SHARING AND DONATING!!
Thank you all for your tremendous support, please keep it up. I'm sure many of you will want to visit him so we will keep you updated on his news from the hospital in the UK
Please send all your positive energy on Monday night for his transport!
**URGENT!! WE NEED TO GET AL HOME!!**
We have got a UK GOV recommended patient transport which we need to raise the funds for.
Thank you all for your donations and support. If you have donated already PLEASE PLEASE SHARE THIS FAR AND WIDE!

URGENT APPEAL - PLEASE SHARE
As some of you may be aware our good friend Al suffered a massive stroke on Halloween 2021. He has so far been covered for his immediate treatment in Spain with his GHIC card but will not be covered going forward.
We urgently need to bring him back to the UK so he can receive NHS treatment in Worcestershire Royal Hospital and begin his rehabilitation to recover from the stroke. This will also mean that his friends and family will be around to visit him and give him the aftercare that he needs. All the signs so far are good, he has been responding well and is able to communicate. He is however still in a critical condition and needs NHS treatment now. The changing rules in Spain mean that he will no longer be able to receive visitors which will not be good for his overall condition. This is now urgent that we bring him home.
Patient transport from Spain is expensive. We need to raise £12000 to bring him back from Spain and get him to Worcestershire Royal Hospital as quickly as we can as he needs NOW to begin rehabilitation.
Please give what you can, no matter how small, let’s do this for Al. He has always been ready and willing to help others so let’s help him get the treatment he needs. Then he can get back to his former self and be singing those songs! We appreciate your generosity.
Please share this appeal far and wide.
