Bring Brigitte Home- Cancer Patient Critical in FL

Ma cousine Brigitte Joab est Guadeloupéenne âgée de 47ans. Elle se bat contre le cancer depuis quelques années mais la maladie a maintenant gagné la plus grande partie de son corps et les médecins se sont prononcés : il n'y a plus de traitement possible.

Malgré cela, au début du mois de janvier, Brigitte s'est rendue en Floride à la recherche d'un traitement alternatif. Malheureusement, peu de temps après son arrivée elle a contracté le COVID 19 et a dû être hospitalisée au "Good Samaritan Médical Center" à West Palm Beach en Floride. Elle s'y trouve maintenant depuis trois semaines dans un état grave car les conséquences de cette infection ont atteints ses poumons et elle doit régulièrement subir des ponctions pour retirer du liquide afin de mieux respirer.  Son état de santé c'est détérioré à tel point que les docteurs n'autorisent pas son retour en vol commercial.

A cause de son état de santé très fragile, il faut absolument que Brigitte soit rapatriée d'urgence ne sachant pas combien de temps il lui reste à vivre et sa famille n'a pas les moyens de faire face aux frais que cela engendrait.

Brigitte est la sœur, tante, cousine, amie et collègue de tant et se trouve maintenant très gravement malade et seule à l'hôpital dans un pays étranger car sa famille à cause du COVID 19 ne peut s'y rendre.

Son dernier souhait c'est de rentrer chez elle en Guadeloupe et être entourée des siens.

C'est pour cela que nous vous sollicitons car nous avons besoins de vous afin de nous aider à faire rentrer Brigitte chez elle dans sa famille.

My cousin, Brigitte Joab, is 47 years old and is from Guadeloupe. She has been fighting the battle with breast cancer for the past few years, but it has now spread throughout most of her body, and the doctors have advised that there is nothing more that can be done medically to help. 

In spite of this, Brigitte travelled to Florida in early January to explore an alternative treatment but shortly after she arrived there, she had to be hospitalized at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, as she unfortunately contracted COVID-19 while travelling. She has been there now for three weeks in a critical condition, as she has developed a lung infection and has to have both lungs repeatedly drained of fluid, to maintain her breathing. The state of her health has deteriorated to such a point that the doctors have advised that she is unable to travel on a commercial flight. 

She urgently requires an air ambulance to take her home due to her very fragile state, as we do not know how much time she has left and her family in Guadeloupe is unable to afford this cost.  

Brigitte is a sister, a colleague, an aunt and a friend to many and she is now alone and critically ill in a foreign hospital, with no family or friends at her side, as her family is unable to travel because of COVID-19.

Her last wish is to return home to Guadeloupe and be surrounded by her loved ones. 

We need you to help Brigitte fulfill her wish to return home to her family.
