Bring Cassie and Her Kids Home for the Holidays

Hi, I’m Cassie, and I’ve been on a spiritual journey for the last 3 years filled with hurdles, bumps, and bruises. Me and my kids have had everything stolen from us this year. Our car was towed by cops who kidnapped us and tried to criminalize me with no grounds. The case was dismissed, I was released, and now we have been displaced as my own mother put me and my two children on the street out of fear of losing her abusive husband.

We are in Yuba City trying to get transportation and housing, and instead of helping us, they put us back on the street, denying us assistance. We slept outside for the first time in my life and were freezing cold. No one came to help us. I tried shelters, and they told us not until Monday. We cannot wait; we need stable housing and a car now!! The winter is here and Christmas, and all I want is to be home for the holidays.
