Kampala, Uganda Relief Effort

These beautiful people are the Kaharwa family. Moses (37) and his wife Caroline (30) are the proud parents of three children, Joshua (9), Jordan (3) and Esther is 19 months old. I (Katie) met Moses in Ontario, when we both had the privilege of attending the Victorious Ministries Through Christ prayer school in October 2019. Moses loves his family, the Lord, his church, and ALL people so much. His heart for others has touched me and made me want to give back! Together, Moses and Caroline lead their congregation of their church, Siloam Altar Revival Ministries. They rent a church structure and 40-60 people worship there at three services every Sunday, in the rain and heat. I call it a structure because it can hardly be called a “building”. The walls and roof let the rain and weather in. All church members share one latrine and the sanitary conditions are quite unfavourable. Revival church currently feeds and houses 16 orphaned children. Six of those children live with the Kaharwa family in their rental home! There are many poor/destitute families and children in the nearby villages. So I decided to start this ongoing fundraiser, in an attempt to bring food, clothing, medicines, bedding, schooling, and shelter to some of those suffering the most. The community is doing all they can, and it is still not enough. When it rains, the poverty-stricken people cannot cook as the rain puts out their cooking fires. Everyone does their best to share what little they have, even hot water! Please help the cause in any way you can. You can help in the following ways: 1. PRAY for Revival church, the town of Seeta-Mkono (and capitol city, Kampala), the Kaharwa family, and all those desperate for help and hope. 2. Donate to this fundraiser. 3. Box 10772 Kampala, Uganda, Africa The following are examples of exactly how the fundraiser money will be used to aid those in need in the region. All funds have been converted from Ugandan shillings, to Canadian and American dollars. All rates are rounded up to the nearest dollar. For $14CAD or $11 USD a family of six can eat for one day. For $50CAD or $38USD, a family of six will receive a Christmas package of clothing, shoes, and food. A $400CAD or $301USD donation will pay for a child to attend school with all clothing and supplies needed, for one three-term school year. For $600CAD or $452 USD, a family of six can sleep comfortably off the ground, with new mattresses, blankets, and sheets for all family members. There are at least six families in need of ALL these supplies currently. Any "extra" funds would go to larger efforts, including the church building fund, digging wells for clean water, medicines and vaccines, and building proper huts for families without adequate shelter.  May God continue to bless you.
