Bring Cleaner Indoor Air to Richmond Artists and Audiences!

Breathe Easy RVA is a clean air organization led by volunteers living in Richmond, Virginia. Since our soft launch in January of 2024, we have grown to a team of almost twenty collaborators, ready to bring our shared vision to life. We envision a future with cleaner indoor air for all.

Cleaning our indoor air is a powerful tool to reduce airborne disease transmission. While there are many ways to mitigate this risk, air filtration is an effective yet under-utilized element of a multifaceted risk-mitigation effort.

We have an incredible mutual aid network in Richmond. We continue in this tradition by fulfilling the need for cleaner air options: providing Richmond with the tools for safer shared air at local events for no cost. Our operational framework is based on Chicago’s Clean Air Club.

We believe that focusing on indoor air quality during an ongoing pandemic is one of the ways that we can protect the health and safety of everyone in our community. It’s good for artists, it’s good for audiences, and it’s good for the long-term health of every one of us.

To make this happen, we are raising funds to build our Breathe Easy lending library. We will be purchasing one Smart Air SA 600 Air Purifier and two Smart Air Blast Mini Mk II Air Purifiers, along with a small reserve for ongoing operational expenses.
