Bring Coffee and Tea to Stay Gold Books!
Donation protected
Happy Holidays! It's been a great first 8+ months in Regent Square for Stay Gold Books. We have been loving getting to know our neighbors better and serving up new books, gifts, and events to the neighborhood.
This Giving Tuesday, we could use your help to accomplish a big part of our original vision -- coffee and tea! It’s been part of our plan from the start to offer drip coffee and tea in the shop. Now, we’re working with our friends at Commonplace Coffee to finally make it a reality. With your help, we will offer drip coffee, tea, and some snacks at Stay Gold! (Note: not doing an espresso bar just fyi.)
The way we set this up, anything you donate to this campaign will be repaid to you in coffee or tea once we're operational! (Think of it as a loan.)
Concretely, this money will pay for the rest of the coffee equipment we need to make this happen as well as finishing up alterations to our back room space to pass inspection. We have already put money in and spent time working to prepare the space. We are doing well enough keeping the books and gifts coming, keeping the lights on, etc., but the drip coffee and tea service is a key part of our business plan that to get started requires funds outside of our day-to-day budget. We are a small business run by two people with two kids as a passion project to do something good in our city/community/neighborhood. Your help is hugely important!
To us, Stay Gold is first and foremost a community space, and we feel this will increase the coziness and the community.
Thank you for your help!
