Cafe Theater (The oldest collectively run performance space for Women, Trans and Non-Binary artist in the known universe). When the pandemic hit us all hard and many theaters shuttered it's doors premantely W.O.W Cafe Theater continued to thrive and pivoted in telling the stories from TGNC playwrights through virtual theater experiences for it's actors, creatives and most of all audiences. Today we remain true to that mission, but is missing one essential part is the financial stablity to bring this beautiful moving story of ,Giselle a transwoman of experience to life on stage. That's why we need your help! to bring this story to the great white way in New York City on November 8-9th, 2025. (Transgender Awareness Month).
From Executive Producer, Cece Suazo.
Ms.Suazo (She/Hers/They) I'm very passionate about bringing authentic transgender stories to the stage. I'm excited to be working on SUPERFAKE a powerful moving play that explores gender identity in a world that's defined real or fake.
This play is more than just a performance; it's a vital opportunity to amplify trans voices and create space for understanding and empathy. In a world where trans respresentation is often limited or misrepresented, SUPERFAKE offers a nuanced and compelling portrayal of the trans experience.
From Associate Producer, Mx. Hasberry.
Mx.Hasberry (They/Them) is a producer, educator, and creative director of film, television and theatre. Often focusing on creating and aiding underrepresented stories of particularly introspective experiences. Their production company RDXL House is proud to be working on a project as important as SuperFake. As the landscape that we currently reside in as Americans, requires a need for listening to stories of our Gen-Z community members. Whether of Trans, BIPOC, or other experience. Stories like this often go unheard. Meaning their experiences, Identities, and struggles often go unseen. Thank you to the team of SuperFake, for allowing me to support our creative team in bringing this story to a new stage. We're Here! We're Queer! And we will continue to thrive and survive.
