Bring Home Postie - Leven Promenade Scotty Dog
Donation protected
We want to bring ‘Postie’ home for residents and visitors of Levenmouth to enjoy!
The sculpture, nicknamed ‘Postie’ was part of an art trail created by St Andrew’s Business Improvement District in association with Wild in Art. The trail featured more than thirty large Scotty Dog sculptures around the Kingdom of Fife.
Postie was displayed on Leven promenade over the ten week project and has been hugely popular with visitors and locals alike.
The Scotty Dogs are now up for auction, with the event taking place on November 30th in St Andrews. We’d love to raise enough money to bid for Postie at auction, and bring him home to Leven prom.
And since the idea was floated to crowdfund to bring Postie home, the support has been overwhelmingly positive, with members of the community and businesses alike suggesting they’d love to support this.
So, let’s get crowdfunding!!
We’re aiming to raise a minimum of £2000 to bid for Postie at auction, although we wouldn’t be guaranteed to secure him at this price. Should our crowdfunding total allow, we’d love to bring another friend back from the auction as well as Postie, to keep him company!
Any monies raised through this crowdfunding that isn’t spent at auction will be donated to Maggie’s, the beneficiary of money raises at the auction.
Please give generously if you can, like, share and spread the word!
