Bring Hope to Spruce Pine Community

Help Us Support the Community of Spruce Pine
(Spruce Pine is a town in Mitchell County, with a population of 2,209, Western NC, approximately 50 to 55 miles northeast of Asheville, North Carolina.)
Dear Friends,
I’m reaching out to ask for your support for a community very close to our hearts: the people of Spruce Pine
(Where Chris’ father, John Welton, spent the last chapter of his life and was buried along with his beloved wife and Chris’ grandparents in a private cemetery nearby.)
As many of you may know, this small town has faced significant challenges recently, and many families are struggling to make ends meet. Whether it’s economic hardship, unexpected crises, or the ongoing effects of various natural disasters, Spruce Pine is in need of our help.
I believe that when a community comes together, it can make a real difference. That’s why I’m raising funds to provide immediate assistance to the people in Spruce Pine who need it most. Every dollar raised will go directly to local relief efforts—helping with food, housing, healthcare, and other essential services.
If you’re in a position to give, even the smallest donation can have a huge impact. Together, we can bring hope, support, and much-needed relief to families in this special community.
Here’s how you can help:
1. Come have tea with us at our home and donate: Any amount makes a difference. Our plan is to purchase Walmart (the only resource right now for town folks to get supplies) gift certificates for our family friends in Spruce Pine to distribute to those most in need.
2. Spread the word: Share this message with your friends and family to help us reach as many people as possible.
Date: 10/13/2024, Sunday, 3 pm to 6 pm
Tea, coffee, and snacks (sweet and savory) will be provided.
Thank you for considering this cause and for any support you can offer. Let’s show the people of Spruce Pine that they’re not alone.
With gratitude,
Chris and Pei
