Help Bring Joy to Cardiac Clinic Patients

Hi everyone!

I am currently working on my Senior capstone project here in the Cardiac Clinic at Boston Children's Hospital before I graduate in June and start nursing school in July! For my project, I am working on designing and prototyping grab & go patient entertainment bags for patients in the clinic. During my time working as a clinical assistant in the cardiac clinic, I often noticed that patients would get restless and bored while waiting, whether it be in the waiting room, exam room, or echo room. With this project, I hope to bring some positivity and distraction to an already scary and overwhelming experience for many children, and help provide some distractions to waiting time a little more entertaining!

As a cardiac patient that has spent over 20 years visiting this clinic, this place means the world to me! I am so excited to be working on this project and getting the opportunity to make a difference for the patients at the Cardiac Clinic.
