Bring Joy to Underprivileged Kids with The Way Foundation

Tax deductible
The Way Foundation was recently formed as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to encourage people, especially underprivileged children, to serve and grow through the arts, programs, and activities while displaying the fruit of the Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control).

Our founder, Mario Liriano, in 2003 felt guided by God to get involved with collecting toys and organizing a Christmas celebration for underprivileged children (100 to 200 participants). The following 20 years have seen that ministry grow with the help of so many volunteers to include children in the Montvale, NJ, and Washington Heights, NY area. During this time, Mario also led a TaeKwonDo martial arts class to provide exercise and teach self-discipline. In 2020, Mario created his own program called The Way, rooted in Galatians 5:22-23, known as the Fruits of the Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control). The Christmas celebration has also been a time for the students of The Way to display their talents.

God has presented an even greater opportunity for 2024. The Christmas celebration this year will include over 200 children and will be held in Washington Heights to accommodate the larger audience. We have also been contacted by two other organizations with an opportunity to reach underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic and Bolivia. Partnering with El Jordan (eljordan.org) in Bolivia and Fundación Bonao Para La Cultura Museo Cándido Bidó.

El Jordan serves street kids in the city of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Here is a link to their website and a great introductory video (El Jordan ). In the past they have been part of Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child, but this year Samaritan's Purse will be offering shoe boxes to other organizations. This is where you can partner with us to provide a love offering to help provide a Christmas gift to these at-risk children.

Fundación Bonao Para La Cultura Museo Cándido Bidó (Video) is the vision of Cándido Bidó a well-renowned Dominican artist who established a foundation and museum where free classes in Visual Arts, Music, Piano, Guitar, Violin, Theater, Children's Theater, Classical Ballet - Folkloric, Modern Dance, Children's Creativity, and Art Education are offered. The foundation offers low cost/free classes for special needs children. You have an opportunity to show the love of Jesus to provide a Christmas celebration with gifts to these same children.

Whether it's $5, or $500, know that all monies will go to these children through this non-profit organization. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
