Bring Juan Jose Home: Funeral Fund

Dear Family, Friends, and Community 

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Juan Jose Ceballos, a cherished father and husband. On July 6, 2024, Juan tragically succumbed to a heatstroke brought on by the severe weather conditions in North Carolina.

Juan was born and raised in Alfajayucan, Hidalgo, Mexico, and at 32 years old, he was known for his strong work ethic. In Mexico, he worked as a truck driver, dedicated to providing for his wife and their two children: an 11-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl. Earlier this year, Juan Jose seized an opportunity to work in the United States under a work visa, employed by a company in North Carolina. Tragically, he suffered a fatal heatstroke while at work.

The company initially assured Juan's family that they would cover medical and funeral expenses and facilitate his return to Mexico, where he wished to be laid to rest. However, attempts to contact the company have been unsuccessful, leaving the family in a distressing situation.

To support Juan’s family during this incredibly challenging time, I have launched a GoFundMe page to assist with the expenses associated with his funeral. Any additional funds raised will directly support the Ceballos family as they navigate this difficult period.

The unexpected costs of arranging a funeral have left the family emotionally devastated and financially unprepared. Our goal is to ensure that Juan receives the dignified farewell he deserves and that his dream of returning to his homeland for burial is realized.

Con profundo dolor anunciamos el repentino fallecimiento de Juan José Ceballos, un querido padre y esposo. El 6 de julio de 2024, Juan sucumbió trágicamente a un golpe de calor provocado por las severas condiciones climáticas en Carolina del Norte.

Juan Jose nació y creció en Alfajayucan, Hidalgo, México, y a los 32 años, era conocido por su sólida ética de trabajo. En México trabajó como camionero, dedicándose a mantener a su esposa y sus dos hijos: un niño de 11 años y una niña de 6 años. A principios de este año, Juan aprovechó la oportunidad de trabajar en los Estados Unidos con una visa de trabajo, como empleado de una empresa en Carolina del Norte. Trágicamente, sufrió un golpe de calor fatal mientras estaba en el trabajo.

La empresa inicialmente aseguró a la familia de Juan Jose que cubrirían los gastos médicos y funerarios y facilitarían su regreso a México, donde deseaba descansar. Sin embargo, los intentos de contactar con la empresa han sido infructuosos, dejando a la familia en una situación angustiosa.
