Bring Judy Back Home: Flood Recovery Aid

I'm Cathryn and this is my friend Judy!

Judy is 76 and has been a valley resident for the last 29 years. Judy has worked with Juneau Limousine for 16 years while she's lived in Juneau, meeting all sorts of interesting people and introducing visitors from all over to our beautiful town of Juneau, Alaska. Before working for Juneau Limo, she was known as "Grandma Judy" at the valley Breeze In for 10 years. She told me she wanted to share her time with both local businesses hoping her old friends would recognize her in her fundraiser :)

Judy's home on Emily was flooded at 2AM last Monday, leaving her home uninhabitable and displacing her. Her walls, floors, and electrical were all damaged. The insulation in her walls and floors were soaked, with drywall falling right off the studs. Her kitchen counters are falling apart as well. These material things were damaged beyond repair and as a 76-year-old woman of Juneau, the memories that were in her home, irreplaceable memories, are gone. Photo albums of family and her sweet daughter and grandson along with past family members. Judy is broken-hearted and it breaks my heart that this happened to such a sweet lady.

Please help us get her back in her home to begin the healing process from losing so many treasured memories. Any donations go directly to Judy's personal account, to help purchase materials to fix her home.

You may see Judy driving guests around Juneau, working to save money to fix her home. Right now her things that were salvageable are in storage while she stays with friends in the valley.
