Bring Judy Tice Home: Fund Her Cremation
Donation protected
Funds for the cremation of my mother Judy Tice.
Judy was an amazing person. Her calling in life was to care for the homeless and the children around her in anyway she could. In the 90s she helped gut our church, St. Francis of Assissi in Simi Valley California, to help provide a place for The Samaritan Center to form its home base. The Samaritan Center remains on the property to this day. I was baptized in the church that became the center and to this day it is a point of pride. Running around on those church grounds in the days that it was being built and all the days after are lovely memories for me. Along with the adapting of the church for the Center, she and my father put time and effort into feeding the homeless community of Simi Valley and then of the Denver Metro area of Colorado. It was their passion and their joy.
In her later years Judy took pride in crafting fine afgans and crocheting clothes for soft toys for all the new kids that would visit our church in Colorado, St. Martin in the Fields. Everyone knew Miss Judy. Her work with the altar guild at both churches was a point of pride for her as well. She threw her whole heart into it as an expression of her love for God and the gifts that he gave her.
Despite all the wonders and work my mother put into the world, I cannot afford her funerary costs. Even just a simple cremation is far outside the reach of my husband and I. My mother will be receiving a service at St. Martins when my husband and I are finally able to attend one but that is a long way off. With luck in a few years time she will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetary with my father where their name plate will be changed to reflect that they were "RocketMan and Wife." But I cannot make those plans until I am able to afford her cremation costs and bring her home.
For everything that Judy has done for the people that she knew and for those she did not, please help me bring her home.
