Bring justice to Jolly Zee Alpacas and friends
Donation protected
My name is Laurie and I’m a good friend to the owner of Jolly Zee Alpacas. This incredible business offers educational tours, one of a kind experiences and therapy assistance through adorable alpacas and other farm animal friends. Originally created out of a need for people to safely escape from the depression and mental health concerns over Covid-19 and a safe place/space to gather after lockdowns while allowing people to safely come together and enjoy nature, has turned into a necessary service within our community. People come all over the province to visit the adorable and therapeutic animals at Jolly Zee Alpacas!
Julie was gifted two of her 10 alpacas as therapy alpacas to help her with her own mental health struggles including PTSD and severe anxiety after the loss of her daughter. The unconditional love, therapy and joy these animals bring Julie, her family and members of our community are never ending!
Recently, the farm Jolly Zee is currently operating out of and boarding their animals at (Mimosa Springs Alpacas) has seized Jolly Zee Alpacas operations with no notice and prevented Julie, her family and clients to visit or care for the animals.
Being that all tours and operations have been stopped unexpectedly with little to no communication or consideration from the farm owners (Michael and Anna Dehn) and zero notice- Julie is unable to afford to move the animals or find a new safe home for them. She has been forced to cancel hundreds of upcoming tours, some with little notice due to the situation she has been thrown into by the owners of the farm.
They will now need to relocate which is very expensive in todays market and will also need to rebuild and re-structure down the road. The future is unclear at this time but the family is struggling financially and mentally from the loss of income and not being able to see or even know if their beloved animals are safe and sound or they will ever see them again.
Julie’s sister is special needs and also relies on the animals and cares for them and this has left her and the family extremely upset and anxious. These animals are their family and not just livestock to them! Imagine having your children ripped from you for no right reason or justice!
I am hoping with the help of the public, loving customers and community, Jolly Zee Alpacas will be able to access their animals and continue to care for them and move and rebuild at a new location. With your help we might be able to offer even just a little assistance to help speed up this difficult process!
If anyone knows of anywhere safe and welcoming where Jolly Zee Alpacas animals could relocate asap please get in touch!
On behalf of Jolly Zee Alpacas and the family, thank you so much for your support, positivity and words of encouragement at this time!
