Help Bring Kayla Hanson Home Safely

Our friend Kayla Hanson is in trouble, and we need your help. Kayla is a daughter to two incredible parents, Josh and Michelle, a sister to three siblings (and many others beyond blood), and she is a friend to all who know her. She recently traveled to Italy from the United States, but during her trip, she went missing. As her friends and family scrambled from afar to find her, we were informed to some devastating news; Kayla was found and hospitalized with severe psychosis. She is now in a state of extreme dissociation, and the cause of this sudden and heartbreaking mental health condition remains unknown.

On Christmas Eve, Kayla’s parents flew to Italy to be by her side. Since their arrival, they’ve been working with doctors to understand what happened, but the details are still unclear. What we do know is that Kayla cannot travel home for at least a few weeks. Even when she is ready to return, the road to recovery will be long and challenging.

We are Kayla’s friends and loved ones, and we are humbly asking for your help. Kayla means so much to so many, and we want to do everything possible to support her and her family during this unimaginable time. Her parents are facing significant financial hardship as they cover the costs of flights, accommodations, medical expenses, and other bills that Kayla can no longer manage on her own.

Our initial goal reflects the immediate costs her parents have already incurred, but every single contribution (no matter how small) will help ease their burden. Your generosity will go directly toward bringing Kayla home and supporting her recovery.
