GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO SURVIVE GAZA GENICIDE - 61 INDIVIDUALS

“Thank God, we are still ok”. For 180 days, we have waited every night for this one simple message to know whether our families in Gaza are still alive.
We are Abdullah and Hala. We live in a suburb of Toronto with our three sons. Our families’ homes and neighborhoods in Jabalia refugee camp were destroyed during this war, which has so far killed over 30,000 people and continues to threaten our families with death, disease, hunger and collective trauma. Through this cruel winter, they are barely surviving in makeshift shelters without enough food or medicine, and they need our help.
As we work towards a long-term solution for basic human dignity with justice for all, we invite you to join us in three simple ways to make an impact right now.
(1) Demand a ceasefire.
(2) Donate towards emergency humanitarian efforts through reputable organizations,
eg, Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (www.pcrf.net) and Doctors Without Borders: https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/latest/our-response-israel-gaza-war
(3) Donate to bring our families to safety in Canada. The Canadian government has opened a short window to grant temporary visas for family reunification. If we can raise $125,000 (US dollars) , we can sponsor 61 family members (including 27 children) at approximately
$2000 (US dollars)/person.
- $200 average for Canadian visa fee
- $1500 for roundtrip ticket (Egyptair or Air Canada)
- $35 for official exit visa from Rafah/Egypt border
- $40 for transportation (Rafah to Cairo; 15 cars for group)
- $150 for 15 days basic survival (clothing, food, shelter @ $10/day until visas
- issued)
- $150 for legal costs (visa applications legal review, translation service, passport fees, data entry)
- plus
- $3000 estimated commission to Go Fund Me (3% of total raised)
TOTAL $131,535 (US dollars) for 61 people (15 sibling families)
Our families in Gaza, and scattered around the world, have committed to contribute nearly $20,000 (US dollars) towards the total from our personal funds.
If we are able to meet our goal, we will share any excess with other Gaza families resident in Canada who have the same needs. We will update you regularly on how we allocate this money.
Our families are precious to us, as are those of all Palestinians in Gaza enduring this harsh winter of war. As we start a new year, our fervent wish is for peace and security for all,
Abdallah and Hala Alhamadni

Yesterday, we're thrilled to share that a new baby has arrived to the world—his name is Rakan, the first baby for Nariman and Mohammed, my brother. This joyful addition brings new hope. They are currently in a temporary shelter where life prevails over adversity.
When I look at my nephew's photo, I wonder how he is doing now. I am worried about his future.
I find myself unable to meet my mother's gaze, as her eyes mirror the silent plea
Abdallah Alhamadni's mother Etidal Alhamadni and nephew are stuck in Gaza as ongoing Israeli bombings continue.
